Background

The world’s climate and environmental challenges are creating unprecedented urgency, and protests against inaction are mounting globally. Governments, markets, corporations, and individuals are responding by embracing Impact, embedding it into every business, investment, policy, and operational decision. Impact reflects the positive or negative outcomes of actions on people and the planet. Historically, organizations have largely ignored their Impact due to the lack of standardized methodologies and limited market recognition. This is rapidly changing, with growing acknowledgment that performance must be measured not just financially but also on social and environmental outcomes.

To catalyse this movement, #ImpactMatters 2025 – The Climate Imperative convened 50–60 senior leaders in an immersive, face-to-face Leaders’ forum. Unlike conferences, every participant actively contributed to discussions, covering four tracks – Climate, Financing, Measurement, and Policy, and collectively shaping actionable recommendations. Held outdoors at the HESCO campus, the forum evoked reflection and nostalgia, highlighting what could be lost if climate change is unaddressed. #ImpactMatters 2025 aimed to accelerate India’s journey toward Total Impact Performance, enabling organizations to embed measurable climate action into strategy, financing, and advocacy.
