Robert G. Eccles is the world’s foremost expert on integrated reporting, sustainability and the role of business in society. His focus is on sustainability from both a company and investor perspective. He is a leading authority on the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues in real-world decision-making.

Prof. Robert G. Eccles is currently associated with Said Business School, University of Oxford. He was formerly a professor at Harvard Business School.

He was the founding Chairman of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and was one of the founders of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).

In 2018, Professor Eccles was selected by Barron’s as one of the top 20 influencers on ESG investing and cited for being an “ESG research trailblazer.” He also received “The CSR Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2018.
